For its latest release, Vuzix’s widely renown Smart Glasses take a step ahead in human-machine interactions by bringing in the offline and multilingual Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) provided by Vivoka’s Voice Development Kit.
The Voice Development Kit is the result of several years of expertise in the field of voice. Gathering all the embedded speech technologies – proprietary or partner’s – companies and developers would need, the solution offers unparalleled access to the voice ecosystem. It is equipped with a user-friendly graphical interface that facilitates the choice, development and testing of multiple technologies, from automatic speech processing, wake words, to voice biometrics and text-to-speech.

For the release of its Smart Glasses’ latest version, Vuzix decided to promote voice interactions to bolster its devices’ interactivity. In this approach, the Voice Development Kit was used by the Vuzix Development Teams to create and customize an Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) engine able to understand any voice command that include specific vocabulary. The technology used is provided by Cerence, a partner integrated in Vivoka’s Voice Development Kit, which also technically assisted the teams in the success of the project. With 30 languages available, the solution makes it possible to meet the current and future needs of a company such as Vuzix, whose ambitions are not limited by borders.
